DJ Jazzy Joyce

Deejaying holds no gender, and HOT 97′s own DJ Jazzy Joyce is living proof! From her start in the early ’80s, she has continuously challenged the male-dominated career. One of the many achievements in her career was deejaying on the historic HBO special, Russell Simmons Presents “Bad Girls of Def Comedy Jam.” Jazzy also hosted MTV’s “Sister for Hip-Hop and Soul Tour” with India Arie and other artist. And most recently on VH-1′s Hip Hop Honors.

This Bronx native has also won a New Music Seminar DJ competition, recorded the pivotal hit “It’s My Beat” with Sweet Tee, toured around the world, and appeared on numerous television and video shows. Along with her many accomplishments, Jazzy Joyce also represents for the ladies as the only female member of Funkmaster Flex’s Big Dawg Pitbulls crew.
